Microsoft launched Windows Live SkyDrive


Microsoft launched Windows Live SkyDrive. This service gives users 500 MB of free online storage. You can use this free Web space for storing and sharing files. You can Create personal, shared, and public folders. Also you can decide who has access to each folder.

You can password protect your personal folders with your Windows Live ID. You can Use personal folders to back up important files that are only for you. When you create a shared folder, the friends you are sharing with need to sign in with their own Windows Live ID and password. You can decide how much control each person has over each shared folder. Some can just read what's there and some others can add and delete files. Anyone on the Internet can view your public folder files, but they can't change them.

Windows Live SkyDrive works on any Windows or Macintosh computer with Firefox 1.5 or higher, or Internet Explorer 6 or higher.

Open source 3D Engine G3D 7.00 Released


G3D is a commercial-grade 3D Engine available as Open Source. G3D is used in games, tech demos, research papers, military simulators, and university courses. G3D provides a set of routines and structures that are needed in every graphics program. G3D is intended for users who are already familiar with C++ and DirectX or OpenGL. G3D allows users to write code that will compile and run on Windows, FreeBSD, Linux, and OS X without ifdefs or modifications.
