Run Windows on your Intel-based Mac computer using Apple Boot Camp 1.4


The following are required to install and set up Windows on your Mac.

An Intel-based Mac computer, with:

A USB keyboard and mouse, or a built-in keyboard and trackpad
Mac OS X version 10.4.6 or later
all firmware updates for your computer
10 GB Free Harddisk space
2 GB RAM when running Windows Vista on a Mac Pro computer
Windows XP Home Edition or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later, or Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, or Ultimate
Boot Camp Assistant
A blank recordable CD or DVD

Download Boot Camp Assistant then run it. Boot Camp Assistant helps you in making a Mac Windows Drivers disc, Creating a partition for Windows without moving your Mac data. (You will need this Mac Windows Drivers Disk, after you install Windows, to install Macspecific drivers and other software).

Now insert your Windows installation disc, follow the onscreen instructions that come with Windows. Select the appropriate disk partition for windows installation and complete the installation.

After the installation process is completed, then install the Boot Camp drivers on your Windows volume.

Now you can use either Windows or Mac OS X on your Mac computer. just hold down the option key at startup to choose between Mac OS X and Windows.
