Interview Tips to all


The following tips help you to prepare for the interview yourself.

All organizations have their own web sites. They will provide all basic information of their organization in the web site. All the candidates must go through the website of the organization. All have to know information such as background of promoters,business details,products range,future expansions,sister companies details,financial status such as profitability,turnover,Dividents payout details,sales etc.

The interviewer certainly will get good impression on you at the time of interview when you know all the details about their organization.

Keep all your certificates,experience letters in a document folder. If you done any project works then keep those reports also in the folder.

Dress neatly. Maintain a neat hairstyle,Polished shoes,Clean nails. Arrive early at the venue atleast 15 minutes before the interview so that you can relax before the interview. Take nervousness out of your mind. Treat the interview just as a meeting for discussing common points.

Enter the interview room confidently. Greet all interviewer's with smile. Wait for a signal to take your seat. If they are not offering the seat ask them politely to take your seat. Be alert and wait for the questions.

Some of the questions:

1. Why Should we hire you?
Tell about your complete experience and skills. Lastly tell like this. So I believe I have exactly the experience you need. As per your job requirements I am a good fit for the position and I am confident that I would be another good edition to your team.

2. Tell me about yourself?
Tell the interviewer what you have written in your resume summary. Do not tell about your personal details like I have two brothers and one sister,My sister got married,My brothers are studying etc., Tell about your field only. If you have any extra qualifications tell about them also.

3. What are your goals?
First tell your immediate goal like this. My immediate goal is to get a job in a growth-oriented company.
Then tell about your long term goal.

4. Are you prefer to work alone or on a team?
Tell the interviewer that I prefer to work both independently and in teams as per job requirements.

5. Why do you want to work here?
First visit their website. Then note all the important points from their site. Study about their future projects. Study about Founders backgrounds and the current Financial statements of the company.Study about the company's position in that particular industry. So prepare a complete notes about the company then you can tell the interviewer why you like their company.

6. How long would you stay with us?
Say like this. As long as we both feel I am contributing,achieving,growing etc.,

7. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
Say like this. Judge me from the work and I am sure you will put me in right position where I want to be.

8. Don't you think that you are over qualified for this job?
Tell like this. My experience and qualification will just help me to do the job better.

9. What would you do if our competitor offer you a job?
First point out the best qualities you found out in your research about interviewer's company. So I would say NO to the competitor's offer.

10. What can you do for us that other candidates can't?
say like this if you are a technical student. I have a unique combination of strong technical skills and the ability to build strong customer relation ships.

11. What did you like least about your last job?
Say like this only. Overall I have been very much satisfied with my all jobs.

12. What salary do you expect?
Just ask them what salary are they offering for this job? If they are offering low then tell about your skills,experience etc., then try to convince them to your figure.

13. How long would it take you to make a meaningful contribution to our firm?
Say like this. You expect only a brief period.

14. How would you describe your personality?
Tell them about your personality like I am energized by challenges and problems. Never missing deadlines etc.

15. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Tell them about your unique strengths. Almost all of us are hard working people so Do not tell I am hard working person.
Tell them about your weakness also and tell them how you are constantly working to improve your weakness.

16. Would you like to ask any questions?
You have to ask some questions about organization like this.
1. How many employees work in this organization?
2. Would you tell me something about your organization?
3. May I know about your organization?
4. May I know about your expansion plans?
5. What kind of career opportunities does your organization provide?
6. Which is the most successful product of your organization?
